Fed up with conflicting advice about feeding, blending dozens of veggies and juggling ice cube trays, mum of three, Claudia Holmes decided to launch her own ‘Solids Starter Kit to help mums give their babies a smooth transition from breast or bottle to feeding solid food.

The mumi&bubi’s ‘Solid Starter Kit’, gives parents the ability to prepare, simple, nutritious, yet economical food for their baby in their own home – without all the trauma and mess normally involved with this difficult time.

The all in one unique kit features a simple step by step guide and recipe book and two pre-measured freezer trays with lids. Claudia says: ‘When my first baby, Sebastian was six months, I was ready to give him solid food, but I found that although there were lots of books on the subject, a great deal of advice (mainly conflicting) and many pre-prepared meals, there was nothing that allowed me to cook nutritionally sound meals in the right quantities and combinations.’

After extensive research and consultation with parents, dietitians and child industry
bodies, Claudia developed the ‘Solid Starter Kit’. First launched in Australia in
2005 this innovative and internationally acclaimed product will now be available in
South Africa.

‘The Solid Starter Kit’ will be launching nationwide at the Cape Town Baba Indaba
from 3 – 5 August. It is also available at selected Baby Stores and online shops.
